Hub Workshop is able to offer a complete “one-stop shop” service for customers with design, production & fabrication requirements for a range of clients and industries in the following areas:
Contract manufacture - concept design, prototyping, material sourcing, batch production & assembly line fabrication
Custom projects - Developing one-off bespoke projects from concept to completion
Cutting service - sub-contract CNC machining service
How it Works:
1. Files
Whether you have fully resolved CAD drawings or rough sketches, our guides will help you get them ready for machining. Send them over and one of our experts be in touch.
2. Quote
We’ll take a look at your files and send you a quote based on the complexity of the file, material selection, quantity and turnaround time. Tell us about your project here.
3. Cut
We will adapt your files to work with our machines and then hand them over to our machinist who will begin the cutting.
4. Deliver
You can pick up the final project from our workshop or we can have it delivered or shipped to your location.

Hub Workshop offers a comprehensive range of CNC related services
Our extensive capabilities in CAD design, Prototyping, CNC Machining, Finishing & Assembly, and supply of Material & Hardware mean that we can offer the complete sub-contract service.
CNC Machining
A CNC is a computer controlled cutting machine. By precisely moving the cutter through material, a CNC machine can create virtually any pattern or shape and can reliably be programmed to make consistent products from digital designs.
Our 3-axis industrial CNC routers can cut and engrave sheet materials (up to 8’ x 4’) with the touch of a button. From six-foot shapes to intricate designs, our CNC can handle it all.
Design
Process led - designers with a practical understanding of making. We provide a full product development, CAD/CAM design & prototyping service, from concept to completion.
Our experienced designers offer 2 & 3D design services specifically for digital fabrication using the latest software & technology. This is achieved utilising a DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) approach combined with a wide knowledge of materials and hardware, and supply chain integration.
We also offer 'design advice' - if you just need help with your drawings or project we can assist with your designs, offering advice specifically for digital fabrication to get your drawings into a ready to cut format. Design work is charged on a per hour basis.
Fabrication & Build
Sanding, Finishing, Edge-banding, Assembly
Our fully equipped workshop has a range of tools & equipment where our carpenters assemble & finish CNC cut components to a high standard.
We create a project specific assembly line for larger scale jobs and where processes can be batch produced.
We also partner with selected subcontractors to outsource elements outside our scope of services to our trusted network of specialists.
Material & Hardware Sourcing
We supply & cut a wide range of materials.
Sustainability - Our main timber suppliers are members of the Timber Trade Federation, are signatories to the Forests Forever policy and supply accredited FSC & PEFC certified products.
We have experience working with a wide range of materials so please contact us for specific requirements.
Standard sheet sizes for CNC are 2440x1220 mm (8’x4’).
Shipping & Logistics
Once your components have been cut, we inspect the items for quality control. We then package the items appropriately (protected, shrink wrapped, palletised etc) to ensure all items reach the end customer in good condition.
We have accounts with a number of logistics companies for delivery across the UK, and further afield. This includes same-day courier service, pallet delivery and parcel services.
